UPCOMING Live and Local - Friday 11th September 2026
3 Awesome Locals set to entertain you ....

Laney van Jaarsveld
Wildlanes is the musical vehicle for proud wahine and emerging singer and songwriter, Laney Van Jaarsveld.
From young experiences singing with Stan Walker to significant platforms supporting international touring artists such as Dire Straits Legacy and Demi Lee Moore.
Wildlanes has supported local legends Tiki Taane, Coterie, Lime Cordiale, Ladi6, Kora and many more.
Whether with her full band, or performing intimately with a guitarist, the stories and songs of Wildlanes are disarmingly vulnerable and inspiring. One part soulful, another spiritual, another liberated, free & funky; above all, Wildlanes exudes a power that comes with growth, and speaks to the hurt and hurdles that inevitably line the road to self-love.

Ruth Power is a human.
She uses her fingers, wrists, arms, back, legs, feet, lungs, and two vocal folds she's carried since birth to coordinate sound with eighty-eight monochrome keys housed inside a wooden box. Together they compress air, move felt, wood and steel, and produce vibrations that range from clear and sustained, to sharp and heavy, bitter and sweet.
Ruth has spent nearly 80% of her life learning these analogue interfaces. There are no prompts, presets, playback, or electricity passing through the instrument—just a human negotiating with an ancient machine, eighty-eight teeth, and whatever happens to emerge between them.

Tilen
A songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Slovenia, Tilen has spent years touring locally and playing gigs in New Zealand as a guitarist, bassist, and back vocalist.
After long serving as the musical backbone for other acts, he is finally taking centre stage to perform his own original music.
Combining his rich live experience with intimate, honest songcraft, his solo act offers an authentic musical journey. It's time to step into the light and experience his solo artistry first hand.

Doors Open at 7pm.
Don't be late - we sell out!

Marc Vincent Parkinson is a 23 year old musician born in South Island Kaikoura. He has been building instruments since the age of 14 – and now performing on his own personally-created guitars.
He writes his own songs and can play a range of different styles from Funk, Jazz, Blues, Heavy, Alternative to Psychedelic Rock.
His influences are heavily 60s and 70s, drawing inspiration from artists like Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and many more.

Sophie and Leo are a partner duo from the states, exploring their musical style in Raglan. They perform guitar acoustic covers of their favourite songs, and always encourage the audience to sing along!

The Blukes - Ray Diprose, Brian Wilson, Stephen Hand, Nick Wilson and Michael MacKinnon -mainly playing Ukuleles, with a guitar, bass and drums, are bringing some unusual songs that were probably never composed for ukulele. Certainly not how they will play them.

"Sensational ability on the acoustic guitar"

Nick Herbison brings his music to Whāingaroa for the second time after the well received ‘Tides’ single tour in 2024 with fellow folk artist Joe Cole. No stranger to visiting the land of the left hander, Nick frequently stops in to play in the waters of Raglans coast.

Nick is a folk-rock artist from Hawke’s Bay, Aotearoa, whose music reflects his philosophical outlook and the internal weather systems he navigates. With acoustic guitar at the core of his songwriting, Herbison crafts introspective, life-affirming songs that explore courage, self-worth, and the ongoing journey toward inner peace. His style has been largely influenced by folk, blues, rock, roots and RnB.

Most recently Nick embarked on a national tour of Aotearoa supporting Melbourne blues troubadour Shaun Kirk during September 2025. Since then Herbison has played as a solo performer at festivals in Auckland and Rotorua (Morph Fest and Sauna Fest).

Herbison's solo performances often demonstrate his sensational ability on the acoustic guitar and his lower toned, smooth vocals. The use of a loop pedal and foot percussion has been a recent addition to his solo set. With influences such as Jack Johnson, Ben Howard, Matt Corby, Ben Harper and Passenger, to name a few, Nick will often include a cover or two during his sets.
