I can’t believe that it’s time to start taking interest for the summer silver membership and the advanced gold membership.

Starting dates are the 7th of December with a bit of flexibility and extra time in this membership for a wee Christmas break with the course ending late February.

The silver membership during summer will be a great place to make and enjoy our indoor and outdoors studio spaces.

A massive shout out to Tim Miller who quietly works behind the scenes here at Studio 42. Our studio space is his design so essentially we work in an art work by Tim🎉Lucky us. Every detail was thought out including the sound insulation and studio nook bed for students staying the night.

Casually building us the best spaces, the coolest benches, fixing technical problems like a legend, keeping our tools working, brainstorming solutions and feeding me when I work late. ⏰

Tim keeps the studio working like a well oiled machine and he is who I’m talking about when the sole business owner uses the royal “we” in posts.

Hey guys I’m putting on a 4 week big stone setting class on Thursday evening in September.

A fabrication course on setting large stones using modern tools and old school techniques.

I’ll be taking just two people and you will need previous metal smithing experience.

This isn’t available to book on the website so please just message me if you’re interested.
The cost is $800 this includes silver and a lovely big stone. However you can upgrade to gold if you like.

This is a slow process and you can expect to make one beautiful piece over the 4 weeks and learn the skills to continue making this sort of work yourself.
