I started training Ashton at the age of 15, he was still at college.
Since starting Training with me Ashton has won in total 8 titles, 6 as an amateur and 2 as a professional.
Ashtons goal has always been to compete on the biggest stage in NZ, King In The Ring.
Now through years of hard work we are here. I have spent days and nights for over 5 years trying to get Ashton to the place he has dreamed of being.
Every coach I know has done the same thing for their fighters. We are not special, we are workers from working class families doing what must be done.
Matariki Kickboxing Pukekohe and all its fighters, non fighters, families and followers are right behind Ashtons journey.

On saturday we took Jerome and Sabian to the North Shore to fight. Jerome brought home a well deserved win with a TKO in the 2nd round, Sabian lost his fight against a strong opponent. A great night at "Blood and Lipstick" an all female fight show run by Aroha Tuteru.
Sarah:
It was not her night.
She put up a good fight however her opponent did enough to win. Sarah never gave a quarter.
Mia:
Outstanding performance.
Did everything she practiced at training.
It was a unanimous decision for Mia.
Great performance.
Liana:
A very talented Kool customer.
Her opponent was formidable, but Liana kept her at bay with her kicks and punches.
Great fortitude to continue.

Today we were at The Cambodian Festival Kun Khmer Show
Chris.
What a banga.
No quarter given by either fighter.
Cameron Sok came out swinging, he brought the fight to Chris.
Chris retaliated in the second round bringing the crowd to their feet.
That continued into round 3.
However Cameron did enough to win the fight.
It was a great effort by Chris.
Our 2nd fighter Jerome had a great fight testing the waters without shin pads against a more experienced opponent.
It was a pretty good match up I thought, it could have gone either way.
All credit to our opponent on getting the win.
Well done Jerome.
On to the next.

I took 4 fighters to Orewa to compete In a novice show, Kaos on the Coast 16.
The plan was to learn from this show. Jake(w) first fight ,Sam (L) First fight , Falcon (w)2nd fight ,Sundeep(split decision L) 2nd fight.
We were so proud of all of them.

Last night Thomas Gibson, Jacob Grant and Ethan Gibson fought on the Urban Disturbance 7 Show put on by Elite Thai Kickboxing Penrose HQ. They all put on clinical performances and came away with hard fought well deserved wins. Special mention to our corner people Ashton Harris and Rachel Chatwin for the added support. Our opposition from ETK were everything we expected and more, next level fighters with hard chins and big hearts, honored to share the ring with you. Thomas, Jacob and Ethan thank you for representing Matariki Kickboxing Pukekohe with pride.

1 win , 1 draw and 1 loss.
My 4th fighter Karson did not fight , coaches decision.
My 3 fighters put up a good showing which is all I ask from them.
Some great skills and heart shown.
