Awesome to see that we made the local news with our Murray Rd Hillclimb last month

Drivers were seen heading for the hills recently as Murray Road, Pukekawa played host to the Pukekohe Car Club. A keen motoring enthusiast – that’s ‘petrolhead’ in old money – Rikki Coulthard (Pukekohe Franklin Camera Club) wasn’t far behind them during the Murray Rd Hill Climb, as these photos reveal.

Here’s the class & overall results from yesterday’s Murray Road Hillclimb. Awesome to get back here, amazing having Speedy Beans on site to coffee us up in the morning - book them in for your next on site coffee requirements - big ups to our volunteers who are superstars & usually deserve the biggest thank you of the day & to NEMS Medical for always being at our events. Also big ups to the hard work & efforts the whole committee to get this event from discussion to hoon time.

Thank to so many competitors who came & supported our event, legends, we love catching up event-to-event.

Also to a heck ton of spectators who see & sow the seeds of how much fun these events are!!

Gavin Barton took out the fastest up the hill with a 1.11 & Matt Oliver was the luckiest dude with an almost moment, the Subie was flying 🦅

We celebrated with burgers & prizegiving at our humble clubrooms to wrap up the day.

📸 Staged Moments 🙏

Not long now until we head to Murray Rd Hillclimb. We have a couple of spectator areas that will be setup so feel free to come along and have a watch. We won't be using the paddock for the pits this year so the pits will be in the same place but on the side of the road. And prize giving will be held at the club rooms with a sausage sizzle and drinks available.

Who is keen? We are looking for a couple of extras to join our timing crew for Rally Whangarei 25-27th September. We are doing the Finish on 2 stages on both the Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th. We have accommodation booked, and its always a fun weekend away, getting up close to the rally cars.
