AN OPEN LETTER TO THE GREATER MOTUEKA COMMUNITY:
As managers of Up the Garden Path Cafe-Gallery from 2009 to 2014, we feel a strong need to communicate our sincere gratitude to the people of the Nelson-Tasman region for the wonderful support the cafe-gallery received during its operation. Our years of service at the Garden Path marked one of the most magical and intense times of our young lives: we lived at the Path, worked there daily, made many friends there, raised cats there and even brought our little man Orion into the world there.
At times it was exceedingly joyful, at others heartbreakingly difficult. But aside from the birth of our child the most important part of the experience was you, the people of Motueka, Tasman, Golden Bay, Nelson and our many other supportive communities. It has been truly wonderful to know so many of you and, through the cafe, to be able to assist and participate in your times of celebration and remembrance. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, work functions, memorials - all of these events brought you into our lives and we're so glad they did. Thank you for your support and for accepting us into your community.
While our new business () is keeping us in the US at present, we'll always feel a strong connection to Motueka and we hope to return again in the not-so-distant future. For now, please know that you have touched our hearts and that we will not forget you. Many thanks and much love from Jasmine Kellogg, Aaron Carvell and Orion Rex Carvell.
