🎨🍷 SIP & CANVAS, NO RULES 🍷🎨

At Eyes on Fire, we like to do things a little differently. We don’t love too many rules, because creativity is at the heart of everything we do. 🔥

So forget painting the “right” picture. This is about following your instincts, getting curious and seeing what happens when you let colour lead the way.

We’ll sip, paint and explore intuitive painting, with a little introduction to the psychology of colour and the emotions, memories and energy different colours can bring up.

Choose a colour you love. Try one you normally avoid. Make a mark without knowing why. Then see where it takes you.

No experience needed. No rules. No judgement.

Just wine, colour, music, creativity and a canvas that is entirely yours. ✨

🍷 $60 per person
🎨 All materials included
🥂 3 glasses of wine included
🍾 BYO welcome if you need a little extra petrol 😅

Come sip, paint, play, share korero and let go of the rules.

DM or email : [email protected] to reserve your spot.

Limited spot of 12 people per class.

Introducing our next artist in show ,Neil N Felton

We are delighted to present the work of Neil N Felton, a self-taught Auckland artist whose lifelong relationship with painting has been shaped by observation, colour, landscape and an instinctive search for his own visual language.

Inspired by his father’s painting and later by the great Impressionists, Neil has always found his greatest freedom of expression through art.

For the past decade, Neil lived in Ōpōtiki in the Bay of Plenty with his beloved partner, Anunda Margaret. Many of the landscapes in this exhibition were painted during those years, capturing a place and a life that became deeply meaningful to him.

Following Anunda’s passing, Neil returned to Auckland with his paintings. This exhibition is both a tribute to Anunda and a celebration of a lifetime devoted to art.

Neil describes this exhibition as his “Sweet Swan Song.”

We invite you to join us for the opening and celebrate this remarkable body of work with Neil.

Introducing FLOX 💚
The other half of the duo behind SUMBA.

FLOX is an Aotearoa, New Zealand based contemporary artist whose practice is grounded in large scale murals, intricate stencil work, and a distinctive language of colour, layering and storytelling. With over two decades of creative practice, she has built an internationally recognised body of work spanning public art, fine art and design, deeply inspired by the landscapes and flora of the natural world.

SUMBA is a beautiful reflection of the artists’ shared time in Indonesia, bringing together work created during their residency and new pieces made back in Aotearoa. A celebration of place, culture, nature, connection and everything they brought home with them.

SUMBA is on show until this Wednesday.
We’re incredibly sad to see this beautiful work leave our little gallery, so if you haven’t made it in yet, these are your last few days to come and immerse yourself in the tropical world of SUMBA. 🌴💚

Introducing SWEATS | Pierre Hadlow one of our two artists on show now!

Bold, primal and instinctive, multidisciplinary artist SWEATS moves between abstraction and portraiture, with faces and figures emerging through rhythm and movement ,where colour can feel like sound and texture can carry mood. Over the past two decades, his creative practice has spanned Aotearoa, Australia, the UK and Asia, covering painting, design, murals, print, sculpture and art toys. Collisions and impulsive imperfections shape the work, sampling visual languages through gestural marks, fractured type and lo-fi textures. The result is raw, off-beat and alive ,finding beauty in the unrefined.

💚

Come along tonight at 6pm to dive into the practice of FLOX | Hayley King and SWEATS | Pierre Hadlow and get transported with us in the tropical land of SUMBA!
