Bradley Lane is the name of a once ordinary laneway in Glen Innes, Auckland. In 2013 four artists tried to create a festive atmosphere while painting two murals in it over a weekend in spring with plans to return annually to paint more murals. They decided to call it Bradley Lane Project. Bradley Lane Project is now in its 10th consecutive year and is responsible for 42 murals by 34 different arti
sts, with 34 murals currently on display in the Glen Innes Town Centre. Bradley Lane Illuminated was established in 2016. For one night each year we illuminate the spectacular street art tucked away in the town centre’s small side streets. Using the urban environment that the street art murals painted during the Bradley Lane Project occupy, elements of light and live performance are added to create a unique and dynamic community event. In 2017, a locally led community arts organisation, TGTB Charitable Trust, was given guardianship of Bradley Lane Project and Bradley Lane Illuminated.
