We are currently still closed following the electrical fire on March 8. To clarify, the cause was not related to Live Wire operations.

We are working closely with insurers and contractors to complete repairs and replace damaged equipment. The impact has been more extensive than we initially anticipated, and we appreciate your patience while we work through this process.

At this stage, we are aiming to reopen within the next 4–6 weeks, however we do not yet have a confirmed opening date.

Rebuild works at Live Wire Super Park are ongoing, and we are now progressing into the next stage of recovery. This includes a deep sanitisation of the venue alongside reinstating and repairing all damaged areas.

While a confirmed reopening date is still unclear at this stage, please be assured we are pushing as hard as possible to complete the works and get the venue back open as soon as we can.

Following the incident earlier this week, the fire investigation has confirmed the equipment involved was not owned, operated, or installed by Live Wire Super Park and originated from infrastructure left by a previous tenancy. The sprinkler system activated during the incident, causing water damage to parts of the venue.

We are now working closely with insurers and contractors to restore the park. While unexpected, this also provides an opportunity to improve the venue before reopening.

A reopening timeline is not yet confirmed and we will share updates as soon as we know more. All affected bookings will be contacted directly and offered a refund or venue credit.

We appreciate the patience and support from our community and look forward to welcoming everyone back soon.

This morning at approximately 10:30am, an electrical fire occurred at Live Wire Super Park.

Our team safely evacuated everyone out of the venue, and we’re pleased to confirm that everyone is safe with no injuries reported.

We would like to thank Fire and Emergency New Zealand for their rapid response and support.

The sprinkler system activated, which has caused water damage throughout parts of the venue. Our team is currently assessing the damage and beginning the cleanup process so we can reopen as soon as possible.

The faulty electrical equipment that caused the fire was not owned, installed, or operated by Live Wire Super Park.

Live Wire Super Park will remain closed until further notice. We will provide updates once we have a clearer timeline for reopening.
