Another strong Napier sale with 100% clearance and good competition right across the board. Second Shear Lambs Wool led the charge with spirited bidding, while oddments attracted plenty of attention from buyers chasing quality lots. Second Shear and Fleece wools pushed slightly dearer, adding further momentum to an already positive market
With buyers competing hard and every bale finding a home, the sale delivered another encouraging result for growers. A top price of 564 greasy /672 c/kg and top COF of 688 c/kg capped off a very solid dav in the auction room We will get the best the market can deliver.

The market surge rolls on at the Napier Wool Auction.

The once almost unthinkable $5 greasy per kilo mark — something that seemed damn near impossible just a year ago — was smashed repeatedly today.

A fresh high was set when a quality 3–5 inch fleece from Pongaroa sold for an impressive 554 greasy / 660 (COF), underlining the continued strength and momentum in the wool market.

Confidence is building, competition is fierce, and the appetite for premium wool shows no sign of slowing.
