Arts in Oxford Gallery is well established as a not to be missed Art centre for Canterbury
residents and visitors alike. Since being opened by the Minister of Arts in
Feb 2010 the gallery has had thousands of visitors through the doors and has gained nationwide renown for it’s wonderfully lit
purpose built art space and fine art gift shop. The continually changing Gallery walls
displaying a new

exhibition every month have proven to be a visual experience not to be missed. Frequent comments by visitors indicate their
surprise in finding a gallery of this calibre in
Oxford. With it’s superb location on the Main Street of Oxford next to the famous Sheffield Pie shop and café and only 40 minutes from Christchurch it is a must see. Arts in Oxford is proud to have one of NZ’s
most recognised contemporary painters,

For 8 incredible years, Kathy has been a leading force behind Oxford Gallery’s seamless exhibition changeovers, bringing her expert eye for installing and curating artworks to almost every show.

This award is a testament to Kathy’s skill, dedication, and passion for the arts. Thank you for all you do, Kathy; our gallery (and our walls) wouldn’t be the same without you.

So when you come to one of our workshops, the retail gallery or visit our fantastic exhibitions, it is volunteers who make it all possible.

We’re so grateful for the time and energy our volunteer whānau bring to Oxford Gallery; by doing so, they enrich our community with art, culture and mana.

Tucked away in the heart of Main Street, Oxford Gallery Toi o Waimakariri is one of North Canterbury's creative treasures. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a curious visitor, or simply looking for something inspiring to do on a weekend, this welcoming community gallery is well worth a visit.

The gallery showcases an ever-changing programme of exhibitions featuring local, national and international artists, alongside workshops, creative activities, artist talks, and community events. MORKS: Enter the Void exhibition extended!

We're delighted that MORKS: Enter the Void has been extended until Sunday 28 June.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the Morks gallery mural! We are so excited for this project which has been quietly simmering since 2020!

Also, the artist will be be back again on Sunday 5 July for a Rugby-meets-Art workshop for 9 to 15 yr olds! Details in the comments below.
