Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit

Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit To build relationships for creative people and create pathways to creativity for the community.

Operating under the umbrella of the Ōtorohanga District Development Board, the Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit is bringing creativity to the community via workshops, events and exhibitions. The kaupapa of the Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit is to connect communities together, specifically the creative community with the larger community to build constructive relationships for creative people and create pa

thways to creativity for the community. We believe creatives should be paid fairly for their skills so the workshops are priced to cover their hours, materials and venue and any extra made is then put back into the kete to reduce the costs of future workshops, to provide free places in some workshops or to put on free events for the community. Please follow this page to receive new workshop notifications and follow/like us on Instagram and share or tag people in our posts to get more of our community informed and engaged. 🎨🖌Meet Your Tutor🖌

Ulemj Glamuzina is running an amazing Semi-Abstract Mixed Media Workshop September the 12th for more information or to book your seat:
https://events.humanitix.com/saturday-workshop-semi-abstract-mixed-media-workshop-with-ulemj-glamuzina-all-levels-workshop-code-ug-amm

Ulemj is an artist, trained teacher, and workshop facilitator originally from Mongolia and now based in New Zealand, where she has lived for over 20 years. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, she works primarily in abstract and mixed media practices.

Her workshops are about more than creating a finished artwork—they are an invitation to slow down, explore freely, and reconnect with creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment. Through playful exercises, layering techniques, and intuitive processes, participants learn practical skills and creative approaches that they can continue to develop long after the workshop.

Ulemj encourages people to let go of perfection, experiment with materials, and discover their own unique visual language. No experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Every workshop is designed to be welcoming, expressive, and deeply personal, with each participant leaving with an artwork that is uniquely their own.

Her work has been recognised through awards and exhibitions, and she is passionate about helping others build both technical skills and creative confidence.
