TOIBOX HOKIANGA: EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

ToiBox Hokianga has been a very successful not for profit community arts space for 9 years in our wider community. Essentially the space has been run on a volunteer basis by Leona Kenworthy and Jan Barratt with support from our external arts advisors and the community.

Both Jan and I are seeking a new arts entity/group/individual to take over the management and running of the space preferably continuing to ensure it is a sustainable and an inclusive space for the arts in our community. Sadly, this coming season will be the last season under our management. Expressions of interest are invited from the Hokianga community.

To submit an Expression of Interest, you should include:

A proposal which outlines who you and or your group are, your vision for the art space, including programme ideas, community engagement/inclusiveness strategies, and plans for financial sustainability. Also include any relevant experience in managing art spaces, community projects, or similar spaces. Please indicate if your proposal would mean moving the container to a new space in the community.

NB: We have kept the cost of running the space to a minimum. The current rental paid by artists covers the rental of the car parks, the eftpos machine and the overall general maintenance and up keep of the container space.

Please ensure you provide clear contact details for follow up.

Send your proposal to [email protected] by the 5pm Friday 22 August 2025
