White Island (Whakaari), New Zealand 🇳🇿

Watching White Island release clouds of steam into the sky is such an incredible sight, but behind this natural beauty lies a heartbreaking history. 💔

In December 2019, Whakaari erupted while tourists were visiting the island. The tragedy claimed 22 lives and left many others seriously injured. A devastating reminder of the immense power of nature and how unpredictable it can be.

Yesterday, seeing the steam rising from the island brings mixed feelings 😔 awe at its beauty, respect for its power, and remembrance of those who lost their lives. ❤️🌏

Never forget the lives forever changed by the Whakaari eruption. 🕊️

Prawn stir fry 😋
Add some oil in the pan, cook prawns until they are cooked halfway. Set aside.
In the same pan, add minced garlic, minced ginger, sauté for few minutes. Add some veggies, season with salt, pepper, soy sauce, chicken stock powder, dash of sweet rice w**e and a pinch of sugar. Return the prawns into the pan. Enjoy with warm rice 😋

Easy homemade tomato soup 😋
In a pot, melt some butter add 1 onion, sliced. Saute until soft then add chopped garlic. Cook for few minutes then add some tomato slices, one can of chopped tomatoes, season with chicken stock powder, salt, pepper, dried oregano, tomato sauce and Worcester sauce. Cook until bubbling. Leave to cool down a bit then using chopper or food processor, blend the soup. Heat it up again and srve with toasts 😋
