Not long until our friends at Oamaru Repertory Society open their show this week! Be sure to get along and show your support - for some this is their first show and where a lifelong passion for theatre will start 🥰

Our talented young thespians are in final rehearsals for our show '1001 Arabian Nights and a Matinee' which opens Wednesday evening.
There are only 5 shows so don't miss out, and contrary to the title there are 2 matinees.

On this day in 1956 the inaugural meeting of the Oamaru Operatic and Musical Society was held, meaning today is the official 70 year anniversary of our society! We have changed names a couple of times over the years, but our passion for bringing quality theatatrical productions to the stage has always remained. We can’t wait to celebrate these 70 years with our community when we share our compilation show with you at the Oamaru Opera House this August 🥰🎶

Start spreading the news! MTO Junior, Jemima has made it to New York New York 🗽 She and mum Helen are officially in NYC for the start of Jemima’s time with the International All Stars at the Junior Theater Festival 😍
We can’t wait to see more from her time in NYC as she rehearses with the other Junior performers, and then as they head to Atlanta for the actual Festival.

We know many of the MTO family helped support Jemima’s fundraising efforts for this experience and will be delighted to see her excitement in being there finally🤩
