Built in 1906 and opened in 1907, The Oamaru Opera House is still the first choice for quality entertainment, meeting space and conferencing in North Otago. This Friday, as we launch the Waitaki Arts Festival and illuminate the Opera House in pink, we are also introducing Charlie Rosé, VALLI's first-ever rosé w**e and their latest canine charity w**e.

Charlie Rosé is created in support of those affected by breast cancer. Inspired by resilience, courage and hope, the w**e honours Charlie, a therapy dog for a Canterbury Cancer Care facility, who brings comfort to people facing challenging times.

Proceeds will also support ‘Baskets of Blessings’ a volunteer-sustained Arrowtown-based food rescue charity, delivering food boxes, meals and gift baskets to those facing unexpected hardship.

The arts have a unique way of bringing people together and fostering connection. We can't think of a more fitting way to begin this year's festival.

Join us as we celebrate and raise a glass to the stories that bring us together. 💕🍷
