Moko/Hunting Wananga

Whakawhanaungatanga tuatahi.

Had a massive week with our whanau in Castlecliff,Whanganui.
Brother Raumatz took us for a hunt in their ngahere.
We were lucky enough to Kai gather for the whanau.

Raumatz asked if i could Moko a memorial for his tuakana kua mate ia. He had the thought of using his older brothers 21st taonga carved by their Father, and asked to showcase his brothers Taonga as a key feature to his Moko. We were all overwelmed with the end results because Raumati’s tuakana Cliff is also my wife and I bestfriend, so it was a beautiful time to share korero and tears for our brother Cliff. We all miss him soooooo much.
Raumatz asked if he could also put his babies ingoa over his ngakau so i went hundy and made a whole section dedicated to his baby Mara. Nailed it!
Shay (Wife/Soul mate to Raumatz) was next, and we also used raumatz idea and took inspo from Cliffs taonga, but used the reference part in Cliffs taonga that talks about Raumati.
This is another good way to share hononga mo nga kaiwhiwhi whariki. Nga mihinui ki a korua mo tenei moko wananga, Mo nga hononga.
