We're having a winter refresh -

If you have clay work stored in our Pottery Room (drying shelves) and/or fired bisque and glaze pieces you've yet to collect, please head down to QAC before the end of June!

If you think you've got work drying or stored in the Pottery Room, please take time to stop by and check what pieces we are holding. The drying shelves are reserved for those actively working on ceramic pieces they don't want to transport and are limited to a maximum 2 weeks of drying / storage time.

Unclaimed work will be moved outside into the gardens so don't delay collecting!

Collect works by June 30th

's been a busy week for many visitors to Quarry Arts this last week, as over 50 potters from Northland (& beyond!) prepare their ceramic works for our Manawa Matariki Wood Firing. Around 700 works ranging from tiny runes to massive sculptures have been glazed ready to offer up to the kiln gods.

Manawa will be fired over June 19th - 21st under the Matariki stars. The kiln will be unloaded Sat 27th June, so will have to contain our excitement for finished pieces until then.

A massive thank you our Kiln Boss, Kiln team and staff for preparing our glazes and all their dedicated efforts behind the scenes that has allowed for a smooth glazing process leading into this massive 36 hour firing.

Results and more coming soon!
