We are an all-women choir based on the North Shore of Auckland led by choral director and singing teacher Clare Martin. Our passion is to sing technically well, to sing expressively well and to share our voices with real joy and pride. Our philosophy is to bring genuine engagement and love to an eclectic range of music from medieval Norwegian folksong to Mozart's Ave Verum to Billy Joel's "And So

it Goes".... We use sheet music but also recorded voice files so you don't need to read music, just be able to sing in tune with a tuneful ear.

We are welcoming new choir singers for 2026 to our women's choir for a new programme of Celtic music - music with its roots in Scotland, Ireland and Wales including songs of the fields and the mountains, sea shanties, dances and folk stories. If you're interested, drop us a word to our Messenger inbox here or write to [email protected] for more information. We rehearse on Thursday nights from 7pm to 9pm in Highbury, opposite the Birkenhead Library. Fun and challenging rehearsals led by our music director Clare Martin Singing Teacher. No need to read music as sound files and music are provided, just bring your love of singing - come along :-)

Thank you to everyone who supported Belle Canto Women's Choir this year especially those who came to our Starry Nights and Spirited Days concert in November. Your support helped us raise $1000 for De Paul House supporting families in need. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to a new season in 2026. If you are interested in joining an awesome choir - why not come join us when we start again in February!
