Exciting update! 🌏🎶✨

We’re thrilled to welcome Drew James as Event Director for WOMAD Aotearoa 2027.

Drew is no stranger to WOMAD. He was the first WOMAD Producer in Auckland back in 1997, later Artistic Director for WOMAD in Taranaki, and has spent decades creating festivals and events that bring people together through music, art and shared experience.

As we get ready to return to the Bowl of Brooklands and Brooklands Park, Drew brings a deep love for what makes WOMAD special, along with fresh energy and ideas for 2027!

We’re so excited to have him on board and can’t wait to welcome you all back through the gates.

More coming soon...👀
