Introducing ‘XX’, a beautiful original diptych by New Zealand artist Anna Tang.

Inspired by the gardens of her clients and the unique beauty of Aotearoa, Anna brings her design background into her art through a distinctive paint-carving technique.

Each piece is built up with 30–40 layers of white acrylic before being finished with three layers of colour. Anna then carefully carves into the surface, revealing the white beneath and creating a beautifully textured, almost sculptural finish.

A quiet, considered work with so much detail to discover.

We’re incredibly excited to be showcasing our first ever original artwork by Rachel Walker at The White Sail Gallery.

Rachel has captured the kārearea, New Zealand’s native falcon, in her beautiful signature style — full of colour, character and intricate detail. ‘Falcon in the Backyard’ — 2026 is painted in watercolour and ink on 300gsm Saunders Waterford paper, and presented in a beautiful light oak frame.
