Today’s the day. We’re opening the doors from 9am–1pm for one last treasure hunt at The Collaboration at 83 Devon Street East...

There’s a mix of furniture, display pieces, shelving, props and all sorts of useful finds looking for new homes. If you’ve ever spotted something in the gallery and thought “I’d love that”, this might be your chance.

Everything must go today our lease is up! so come in early, have a good look around and take home a little piece of The Collaboration with you.

A quick note: we won’t be able to keep up with Instagram messages about what’s still available today, so there’ll be no holds or online sales. It’s first in, first served and purchases will need to be made in person.

Pop in, say hi, and see what treasure you can find.

It’s a special day for us celebrating 8+ years of collaborating, and we’d love to see some familiar faces through the door.

So if you’ve been meaning to visit, today’s the day. We’re here until 3pm.

Celebrating all things colour as we head into the final two days of Bright & Bold.

Hollie O’Neill’s luminous Veil-Fields feel like the perfect way to mark the moment. A highly accomplished New Zealand artist based in the Waikato, Hollie has been a full-time artist since 2002, with a practice spanning painting, sculpture and light-based mixed media. Her work has received national recognition and is held in public and private collections in New Zealand and internationally.

Inspired by dawn, dusk, glare and afterglow, these layered works explore the way light and colour shift, soften and settle around us.

And Hollie herself is a beautiful reflection of her work. Warm, generous and full of vibrant energy, she brings the same sense of colour, light and positivity to the people around her that you see in her paintings. We have absolutely loved having her work in the gallery and being able to share it with you.

As The Collaboration prepares to take a pause, we’d love you to spend a little time in the space with us.

Pop in this weekend, soak up the exhibition and enjoy the gallery in its current form. Sunday will be our last day for now.

A LITTLE UPDATE FROM US ❤️
This Sunday, 20th September after 8 incredible years, our physical store will be taking a temporary pause.
Expressions of Interest in The Collaboration remain open, and we are continuing to work through enquiries. In the meantime, our physical store will be taking a temporary pause while we work through what comes next.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Faye, aka SexyAsSoup, you’ll know her energy is every bit as bright and vibrant as her artwork.

Faye has a way of filling a space with positivity, colour and warmth, and that same spirit runs through every piece she creates. We’ve been lucky enough to share her work across four exhibitions over the past 12 months, and each time her paintings bring something completely their own.

Layered with visual metaphors, bold colour and playful symbolism, Faye’s work is storytelling in its most vibrant form. Her subjects move from nature and popular culture to portraits, animals and deeply personal observations, all brought together through her distinctive use of acrylic paint and markers.

A self-taught New Plymouth artist, Faye began giving her art more space during lockdown after years spent travelling and working as a chef. Since then, her work has reached collectors in the UK and around the world, while also appearing in exhibitions in London, Brighton, York and here at The Collaboration.

If you haven’t experienced SexyAsSoup yet, be ready to be completely drawn in.
