No More Specials with Butter / found materials, acrylic on hardwood / 2024 / 400 x 300mm
Trea Marshall’s richly layered works sit somewhere between painting, collage and assemblage, bringing together fragments of pattern, found imagery, gesture and object. There is a sense of play and spontaneity within the compositions, yet each work is carefully constructed through an accumulation of colour, texture and unexpected detail.
These works are currently showing at Kingsroy, alongside our wider programme of contemporary art from Aotearoa.
Wednesday–Saturday, 10am–2pm.
We’d love to see you in the gallery.
