We appreciate your support of music and the arts in Nelson! Hon Dr Nick Smith

I joined hundreds of Nelsonians this afternoon to enjoy performances of Mozart and Tchaikovsky at our NCMA and was super impressed.

Few cities our size maintain a symphony orchestra. Our NSO, founded in 1966 by dedicated local musicians, performs four concerts a year and is a tribute to its Board led by Dave North, our NCMA (this year celebrating 125 years) and our dedicated musicians, sponsors and supporters.

My congrats to Jason Bella, the orchestra and choir on this weekends performances. I recommend their other three concerts later in the year that include Harp in Harmony Sat June 20th, Romantic Echoes Sat Sept 12th and Symphonic Odyssey Sat/Sun Nov 28/29. https://ncma.nz

We could see both familiar and new faces in the audience - we are sending personal gratitude to each one of you!
