Friends of Zappekin!
You are cordially invited to the opening of the “Get Zapped” Exhibition, featuring the work of four local artists who have been our guest "Artists in Residence" for two months.

We’ve been lucky to have been sponsored some celebratory wine for the opening night by Sea Level Winery, and to run this residency programme with the help of Creative Communities. Event: https://fb.me/e/4z8yhSSYA

Our featured artists are:

Claire Watson (Film)
Chloe Marer (Painting/Poetry)
Sarah Campbell (Fluid Acrylics)
Sally Reynolds (Found object, oil and cold wax sculpture)

These artists applied for our residency programme earlier in the year and were selected by our panel of Zappekin members. They’ve each been given studio spaces at Zappekin to work on their respective projects and to experiment in a new space in an environment of other artists.

The opening starts at 6.30pm, and the artists will be giving floor talks about their works at 7pm.

The exhibition will be open the following two weekends, staffed by the artists.

Dates:
Opening Evening: Thursday October 26th, 6.30pm
Exhibition: Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October (10am-4pm)
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November (10am-4pm)

Been pretty quiet on social media this year. A lot of changes, things have been happening which has left me low on inspiration and energy. I was given an amazing opportunity to be part of an 8 week residency which begins today. New body of works on large scale canvas.... Not a drop of resin in sight. Looking forward to focusing on new ideas in an awesome space. Also with and .m.creates

Production has slowed to a halt due to family commitments. Mother in law has just passed away and my mum is in hospital. Hope to be back to producing beautiful things soon but for now family comes first 💖
