We are currently accepting proposals from curators & recent graduates for our 2027 exhibition program.

There are two opportunities available:
* May 2027 – Recent Graduates Exhibition Residency
* November 2027 – Curators Exhibition Residency

Each opportunity offers one month of exclusive use of the Project 100 gallery in WhakatΕ« Nelson to realise an exhibition, public programme, or experimental project. We’re seeking ambitious, conceptual and contemporary proposals that push boundaries, test new ideas, and create meaningful experiences outside of a commercial gallery context.

We welcome applications across all contemporary art disciplines and encourage collaborative projects that bring together artists, ideas, and communities.

Head to our website to find out more and apply. Link in bio. Applications extended until midnight 14 September.

Hot Chips is coming up this Friday! 🍟🍟

Join us for the final Hot Chips at Project 100 before we change venues for the winter months.

HOT CHIPS is our monthly hang-out, a casual night of drinks, yarns, and hot chippies. It’s an open invite to connect with friends, artists, and the community.

B.Y.O. drinks, but we’ll have the Hot Chips covered.

This initiative is run in collaboration with the Nelson Arts Council

Please join us for an artist talk at Project 100 with Keri-Mei Zagrobelna, as part of her exhibition He Ngaki Māra.

Join the conversation with Keri-Mei and explore the whakaaro that shape this body of work β€” reflecting on the tending of whenua, of soil, and cultivated kai such as kΕ«mara. Through a rongoā lens, these ideas extend to the tinana: if we are the māra, what is it we need to clear, grow, or nurture within ourselves?

Come along, settle in, and hear more about the stories that form the exhibition.

BYO Cup if you'd like a cup of coffee.

Reminder: Opening tomorrow!

Please join us to celebrate the opening night of 𝐻𝑒 π‘π‘”π‘Žπ‘˜π‘– π‘€π‘ŽΜ„π‘Ÿπ‘Ž by Pōneke based artist Keri-Mei Zagrobelna.

When: Thursday 07 May, 5pm - 7pm.
Where: Project 100 Courtyard

He Ngaki Māra speaks to the tending of whenua β€” of soil, of cultivated kai such as kΕ«mara. When understood through a rongoā lens, this whakaaro extends to the tinana: if we are the māra, what is it we are needing to clear, grow, or nurture within ourselves?

This exhibition positions mahi toi as a form of rongoā, exploring how creative practice can support wellbeing in our everyday lives. Grounded in the rhythms of the Maramataka and the cycles of whenua, the work reflects on balance β€” when to act, when to rest, when to cultivate, and when to gather. Through contemporary jewellery and adornment, these ideas are carried onto the body, becoming sites of meaning, resilience, and continuity.
