If you've ever wanted to learn flow with fire make sure and check out Tania's course!

Our Friday group have been having a beautiful time together. It is lovely for me to witness the connections made, supportive and encouraging bonds forming, and the women growing more confident with self expression, sacred play and dance. The fire props we use are simple, hand held Palm Torches. They are a great place to start if you have no experience with fire, but experienced fire dancers are also welcome, if you would like to explore improvisation in a group.
After these two groups are finished, some will move into learning fire fans, where we'll transfer a lot of the improvisational skills and language that we've learned together in these first 6 weeks.
We now offer the last initiation for this year on Tuesday evenings for 6 weeks. (I am still happy to create a day time slot for women who can't do night times.)

Sharing some memories from last year. I was fortunate to join Tania Marsden at the very first Takaka Matariki Light Festival she organised last year. It was a radiant mix of lights, dance, music and smiling faces. Such a beautiful coming together of the Takaka community..

Big shout out to the Bronte House Girls at Nelson Girls College! Thanks for having us last Monday, and for sharing the joy of spinning with us! And thank you to the Nelson Arts Council and the Creative Communities Scheme for helping us make this workshop happen. It was a joy seeing the girls picking up the props and giving it a go. We look forward to running more of the same workshops!
