Award-winning actor Mark Hadlow returns to the stage with a hilarious and deeply relatable sequel to the nationwide hit MAMIL (Middle Aged Man in Lycra).
Written and directed by Gregory Cooper, GOMIL follows Wayne, founder of the original MAMIL cycling group, as he tackles retirement, ageing, changing family dynamics, and the uncomfortable realisation that life doesn't necessarily get easier with age. Fortunately, neither does his determination.
For one night only, audiences at Theatre Royal Nelson will become part of a special live filming of the show, helping create a lasting record of one of New Zealand theatre's most beloved characters. The energy, laughter and warmth of the audience on the night will be captured as part of the filming, making everyone in the theatre a contributor to this unique event.
