Let’s be honest… if you could walk in them you’d wear them

I know I would 😍

The yellow ones are actually from my wardrobe… a fabulous $10 op shop “Louboutin” find that fit my feet to perfection. I actually don’t even care that I’ll likely never wear them (that whole can’t really walk in 5in heels for fear a breaking an ankle thing) but they do make the the shoe shelf sing!

Such a fun piece to create a few weeks ago, might be time for a series 🤔

Losing a loved one, in particular your mum, is something I (and likely many of you) know all too well.

The grief is unlike anything else you will ever go through or feel, which often hits like a ton of bricks without warning.

And this time of the year is probably the toughest.

My lovely colleague and friend recently has this awful experience.
And even having been there myself not so long ago, I still felt helpless in knowing what to do, say or how to help.

So I created.

These ones are often the hardest to do, getting the likeness just right.
But they’re the most rewarding and gratifying.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas beautiful people.
And if you can, give your loved ones a hug.

It’s always such a treat creating artworks of real life pets rather than animals just pulled from my mind.

Don’t get me wrong, I love them all, but there’s an additional challenge involved with making the drawing accurately match the photo!

This little Pomeranian cutie was a surprise commission piece from friend to friend ❤️

Spotted: The OG bunny 🐰
From so far back, I’m not convinced she even has a name- They all get one now!

But going strong, flowers still bright and happy hanging in her furever home.
Fitting right in with the kookiest owners with the kookiest pets around- Penny, Pixel, Terra & Bob 🐶🐶🐱🐦 (yep, that’s a pigeon)

I love seeing how much the art has stayed the same but also developed in style!

UPDATE- Im still quietly working on some pieces behind the scenes; sorry for the absenteeism, I’m just not here for the amount of time and energy it requires! 😬

It’s been a minute 🙋‍♀️

Lately It has been a STRUGGLE get myself back in the social media zone…hence the complete lack of posts going on. Apologies to those of you that enjoy the updates!

Despite that funk, I just had to share this beauty of a commission I completed recently.

Due to us being in the process of moving at the time I was unable to commit to pressing actual wedding bouquet flowers, but I was sent a stunning pic from the day, and a photo of the bouquet for inspiration.

Such a treat to be able to create such a special keepsake ❤️

Still busy here packing up and trying to organise everything for our move…
This has obviously pushed back when I will be able to take on new orders but please do message if you have ideas or artworks in mind (that you don’t necessarily need right away 🙈)

Two years down babe ❤️

It hasn’t been the easiest couple of years but you’ve helped me keep my s* #! together and for that I’ll be forever grateful.

Thank you for holding me through all the tears and meltdowns, and making me laugh when i need it.

For always eating what I cook- even though I don’t use onion, garlic, wheat, dairy or red meat…

For encouraging my art…and the mess in the corner.

For not saying anything when I rearrange the jungle to accommodate a new 🪴 (I know you love it really.)

For putting up with my crazy fam and friends and embracing them as your own.

I love you, even more than potatoes (that’s a lot btw)💕
