Nelson Festival was a blast! Thanks to Donna McLeod, Kerry Sunderland , and the tech team for an awesome Pukapuka Talks session. Appreciate The Beatson/Moore whānau for hosting me afterwards. Tiahuia: A Karanga to My Mother is artistic director and choreographer Merenia Gray’s tribute to her mother Tiahuia Te Puea Hērangi. The show will open with Mary-Lyn Chambers’ short film, Karanga, and will be followed by a kōrero with Donna McLeod.
