This fundraiser will feature creations produced by an eclectic mix of talented and heart driven New Zealand artists, mainly from the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions. At the Earth Hub on the 25th and 26th of January, you will have a unique opportunity to view and purchase a range of especially dedicated artworks.
All artworks have been donated by their artists, with a minimum of 28 local artists participating, there will be works including but not limited to ceramics, photography, prints and paintings.
100% of proceeds will be donated to two extraordinary wildlife rescue and emergency response organisations: WIRES and Wildlife Victoria. These organisations face the enormous task of working on the day to day healing and survival of countless creatures, with animal deaths having already reached one billion. There are swathes of habitat to restore, paws to poultice, burned skin to balm and bandage. The art will reflect the raw reality of the extent of the loss and damage that Australia faces, but that all of us as a global community face as a result. A number of species already at risk are now feared to be on the brink of extinction, if not extinct, while others have had up to 60% of their precious habitat obliterated.
The community is invited to come and view, donate or buy and share in this event and our collective desire to express solidarity, and to help in any little or big way that we can. Every contribution counts - just as every creature needing our help does. All are warmly welcome.
