🥳2023🥳 I can't let it sneak off without a wrap up because she was a BIG year for little old me AND it's mid January already!! 😱 Here's my five highlights:
💥I was lucky enough to land a job at World of Wearable Art and in five weeks I packed up my life (read creative supplies) and moved myself to Nelson.
💥I fell back in love with sewing and made some clothes that make me feel all bubbly with happiness. Note to self share these makes 🤦‍♀️.
💥I learnt to knit! And ALMOST made a jumper 😆. Just half a sleeve and putting her together to go! (The WIP struggle is real with this one!) Anyone else got a big work in progress pile?
💥I've started drawing people for fun and it's not so scary anymore! Throw any procreate hot tips my way people.
💥I got my Forklift F endorsement and feel like a boss ass b 💅 when zooming (read driving very responsibly) around at work.

I fear I might have Girl-bossed a little too close to the sun🌞! I have gone and landed my 💫DREAM JOB 💫 at World of WearableArt! So excited to be moving to Nelson to join the team that brings you an amazing competition for designers and the epic show season! I've been flouncing around as happy as Larry. I am SO SO HAPPY to share my first ever mural with you! This is by far the BIGGEST and SCARIEST creative adventure I have tackled! I knew I really really wanted to do a mural and I knew I could PROBABLY do it 🤷‍♀️ but I didn't know the big scary HOW. But guess what!! I learnt!!! And would you just look at what I made! I did that! 😁😁😁 I love it! Wendy loves it! I am pretty bloody chuffed.

I am so lucky to have rung in 2022 with such a huge creative bang! Let's see what creative adventures 2023 has instore for little old me!! 🥳🤩💖

Happy New Year my friends! I hope you all had a great break doing things you love with your people! Can you believe it's the middle of January already? 💀

I have a story from my break for you! This is my trusty old faithful. She weighs a bloody ton...like I have to mentally prepare and physically brace to move her type heavy. She can sew absolutely anything and I have had her for almost half my life. Isn't she beautiful?!

Amazingly, I was gifted her many years ago and I have been so grateful to have such a beast on my side when creating. To put it simply I fu***ng love her!

So... between Christmas and New Years, when I was in the middle of my first every quilt (typical!), she dramatically let out a huge bang and a big puff of black smelly smoke 😱. It was all over red rover. I shed a tear and started looking for a new machince but I just wanted my girl back.

With zero hope of resurrection, I took her back to the servicing shop to see what could be done and blown me down with a feather after 20mins she lives to sew another day! I'm so bloody happy and we are already busy creating the next crazy project together.

Talk about entering 2023 with a lucky vibe!
