You have a story.

We all carry stories about who we are, what we deserve, where we belong and what is possible for us. Some of those stories help us grow. Others quietly shape our thoughts, relationships and choices long after the original experience has passed.

If you don’t like the way you feel, it may be time to look at the story creating that feeling. You cannot always change what happened, but you can change the meaning you carry forward.

That is why I created HERstory.

HERstory is a live women’s storytelling event in Nelson, New Zealand, where courageous women share honest, deeply personal stories of adversity, healing, identity, courage and transformation.

We tell real stories because stories bind humankind. They help us understand one another, question the beliefs we have been carrying and feel less alone.

Our audiences tell us the stories stay with them long after the evening ends. They describe HERstory as powerful, moving, inspiring and beautifully real. They say they recognise parts of themselves in every speaker, leave with something valuable from every story and feel part of something much bigger than themselves.

Her story may be different from yours, but somewhere within it, you may hear exactly what you need.

My story. Her story. Our story.

Tell us what you loved about this year's show.

Hey lovelies,

HUGE thanks for your love and support at last week's HERstory.
It was another incredible evening of sharing deeply inspiring stories, laughter, and honouring the power of learning, moving through our limiting beliefs, and facing the hard things.

This is a wee snippet of our first speaker, Becky Siame
The experience reinforced an old script she had carried for years:

They want me gone.
I don’t belong.
I’m alone.

Then, just four weeks before stepping onto the HERstory stage, Becky was given 42 days to move again.

The same number. The same uncertainty. But this time, a very different response.

In this honest and powerful talk, Becky shares what happened when life touched the same painful place twice and allowed her to discover that the script which once defined her no longer did.

This was not a story neatly wrapped up years ago. Becky was living its second chapter as she spoke, surrounded by boxes and preparing to move that very weekend.

Same notice.

Same uncertainty.

Same 42 days.

Different woman.

“I Deleted the Message. I Did Not Delete the Script” is a story about belonging, resilience, asking for help and the extraordinary ways community can show up when we allow ourselves to be supported.

What old script might no longer be true for you?

Four years ago, Becky Siame was given 42 days to leave her home.T...
