Opens Friday, July 31st.

The Three of Cups is the tarot’s ultimate card of celebration, community, and friendship. Upright, it signals a joyful time to gather with your community, enjoy social harmony, and celebrate shared achievements or milestones.

This exhibition draws upon the symbolic language of the Three of Cups to present three generations of makers, Bronwynne Cornish, Vanessa Arthur and Cat Fooks. Each with their own distinct voice, this exhibition presents moments of connection and interplay.

We will have an opening on Friday July 31st, the artists will be present. Hastings based Vanessa along with Bronwynne and Cat who are travelling from their Tāmaki Makaurau base, please join us between 5-7pm to celebrate.

OPENS WEDNESDAY, MAY 20TH.

We are pleased to present, for the first time, a group of works from Jake Walker as a solo presentation. This show includes works created over a 5 year period that all interrogate the rarefied world of pictorial space and make fun of painting.

The Aotearoa Art Fair opens today, we are at Booth 5, with work from Mark Braunias & Martin Poppelwell.

This presentation sets out to show works built at approximately the same time and therefore complimentary. It’s like they are having a conversation, which as artists they often did. Mark has created a unique visual language. The monochromes are sculptural alabaster forms floating amongst an open void. A transition from the austerity of the monochromes to the vividly coloured face analogues, works that are witty in colour, attitude and delivery. With Poppelwell we see a language and colour that offers a playful and knowing tongue-in-cheek casualness reflecting an approach to upending contemporary life. Narrative, existence and structure operate in a perpetual visual dance.

We hope to meet you over the next few days, Martin will with us also..
