Not long left to check out the wonderful student artwork in the Year 12 Art Expo 2026. It's available in CAN's main gallery until this Thursday morning - don't miss out!

This exhibition showcases an incredible range of work from talented ākonga at Napier Girls' High School, Napier Boys' High School, Sacred Heart College, Taradale High School, William Colenso College, and Tamatea High School. A few pieces by some of the talented art teachers are also included.

For more than 20 years, the Hawke's Bay Art Teachers Association has championed young artists through this annual exhibition. Come and get inspired by paintings, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and digital design work created by the next generation of creatives.

'Take Me to the Ocean', a beautiful exhibition by local artist Jenny Mark, celebrates the colours and textures of the sea. With some works incorporating real shells for added depth and shine, these acrylic landscape paintings evoke memories of shoreline walks and seaside treasures. 20% of any artwork sales will be donated to the Daffodil Day Appeal in support of cancer research, making every purchase a meaningful contribution to an important cause!

Artist, writer, photographer, and lifelong creative, Jenny Mark has spent decades painting, travelling, and working on commissions around the world. Now based in New Zealand with her husband Ken, Jenny grows lavender and olives, creating natural skincare products alongside her artwork which are available in CAN's retail space.

For more than 20 years, this much-loved annual exhibition has showcased the work of emerging young artists, highlighting a diverse range of art styles and mediums.

Come along, meet the artists, support our local schools, enjoy some nibbles, and be inspired by the creativity and vision of Hawke's Bay's young talent. We'll see you there!

Only one full day left to explore the creative journey behind poetry with 'Lifecycle of a Poem' by Jeremy Roberts. This incredible and unique exhibition is a lot to take in - so don't miss out!

Through handwritten and typed draft pages, working notes and doodles, publications, and videos, local poet Jeremy offers a glimpse into how poems evolve from their earliest beginnings into published or performed works. Available in our small gallery until this Thursday morning.
