A few of our favourite moments from Nuit Blanche Napier 2026 🫶

Local artists and creatives got their moment in the spotlight, hospo pulled some of their biggest nights on record, and the city became one giant canvas.

Music spilling into the streets, dancers taking over corners, circus overhead, projections lighting up buildings and artworks waiting to be discovered. There was always something happening, and often something you didn’t see coming.

The C*D was full of people taking it all in. Kids were racing between things to see, mates were catching up over dinner, people stopped for a dance, and others were surprised and excited to see what was around the next corner.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out despite the weather and made the night what it was.

A special shoutout to Sight Sound Services for getting the PA and stages set up and ready to go on such a challenging day - massive work crew 🙌

Nuit Blanche is ON! Come on down and support our local creatives, artists, makers and performers! Sorry to those who were keen to roller disco with the Bay Skate crew, they have had to rain check on tonight with the wet weather conditions. Everywhere else is mostly under cover, so pull on a raincoat and come on down 🫶✨

There are so many people who’ve put time into making tonight happen, from the performers and artists to the food trucks, hospo teams and all the crew working behind the scenes.

So if there’s a bit of rain on the radar, bring a raincoat or dig out the rain ponchos and come prepared for a night out. A bit of weather isn’t going to stop us from getting amongst it 🙂

We’re still throwing Hawke’s Bay’s biggest street party, so unless we post an update saying it’s cancelled, Nuit Blanche is on! 💃

Market Street is getting a serious after-dark makeover. Lasers will light up the laneway while two DJs bring the soundtrack, with the music shifting gears as the night goes on.

🔦 6–10pm | Laser Show
Keep your eyes up. The laneway will be lit with lasers throughout the evening, adding a whole new look to this little corner of the city.

🎧 6–8pm | Larry Nobody
Larry Nobody gets things moving with deep, groove-driven house music. He’s been DJing clubs, festivals and events in New Zealand and overseas for years, building sets that evolve with the crowd rather than sticking to the same formula.

🎶 8.15–10pm | DJ Morgz
Then DJ Morgz takes over with Tech House, Top 40 remixes and big singalong tracks. He’s been behind the decks for more than a decade and knows how to put together a set that gets people involved.

Head down the laneway, follow the lights and see what’s happening.

✨ The Alexander Construction Stage is bringing some serious local talent to Herschell Street 👇

This line-up puts Hawke’s Bay talent front and centre, with original music, indie folk, folk-rock and grunge, plus a fiery appearance from Master Tony. Big thanks to Alexandra Construction for supporting the stage and Nuit Blanche 🙏

🎸 5.30pm | Mason & The Monsoons
Hawke’s Bay singer-songwriter Mason brings together folk, soul and rock ’n’ roll, with raw original songs, honest lyrics, guitar and harmonica. His debut album MIRRORBALL adds a retro edge to his modern songwriting.

🔥 6.10pm | Master Tony – Magic & Fire
Magic meets fire as Circus In A Flash brings Master Tony to the stage. Watch flames appear, disappear and reappear alongside illusion, fire artistry and plenty of showmanship. Keep your eyes on the stage. You’ll want to see how he does it.

🎶 6.50pm | The Cellars
Hawke’s Bay indie folk duo The Cellars bring intimate songwriting and detailed vocal harmonies to the stage, with piano and guitar arrangements at the centre of their sound.

🎸 7.45pm | Nick Herbison
Folk-rock artist Nick Herbison brings acoustic guitar, loop pedal and foot stomp box together for a solo set shaped by folk, blues, rock, roots and R&B. His songs explore courage, self-worth and finding your way through life.

🎤 9pm | Emma Webb
Emma Webb brings a smooth, rocky edge to the final set, with grunge, familiar covers and a few songs you might not expect to hear her take on.

✨ The Willis Legal Stage is bringing music, movement and a few surprises to Tennyson Street 👇

Balkan brass, country dancing, illuminated choreography, Brazilian percussion, opera and soul are all on the programme, with a packed line-up of local performers taking the stage throughout the night.

Huge thanks to Willis Legal for helping bring this stage to life for Nuit Blanche 🙏

🎺 5.30pm + 6.35pm | Bayan Balk Orkestar
Opa! Bayan Balk Orkestar brings the passionate rhythms of South Eastern Europe to Tennyson Street, with local musicians putting their own energy into the rich musical traditions of the Balkans.

🤠 5.50pm + 6.55pm | Clive Bootscootin
Time to dust off those boots. Clive Bootscootin brings line dancing, country favourites and modern hits to the stage.

✨ 6.05pm + 7.25pm | Floorless Dance Studios
Floorless brings contemporary, jazz and hiphop to Nuit Blanche, with illuminated pieces created especially for the night. Watch the dancers bring movement and light together on stage.

🥁 7.45pm | Bay Batucada
Booming drums, pulsing Brazilian rhythms and tightly choreographed movement, with the added spectacle of completely illuminated instruments.

🎼 8.15pm | Project Prima Volta
Young singers aged 8–18 take to the stage with powerful opera and some popular classics you might not expect. Project Prima Volta has been helping young singers build their confidence and craft for more than a decade.

🎤 9.20pm | Hawke's Bay Soul Choir
A group of beautiful voices coming together to perform songs you know and love. Their soulful sound and strong stage presence will bring the night towards a big finish.

✨ Emerson Street is getting its own soundtrack on the Sainsbury Logan & Williams Stage 👇

Five acts are coming to this stage across the night, with family-friendly singalongs, funk, soul, rock, pop-punk and plenty of big favourites along the way. A big thanks to Sainsbury Logan & Williams for backing the stage and helping bring the music to Nuit Blanche 🙏

🎤 5.30pm | Sammy & The Fam
Upbeat, fun music for the whole family, with singalong moments built into every song. Expect plenty of dancing from the crowd too, and maybe a few songs that get stuck in your head afterwards.

🎸 6pm | Willsy & Friends
Willsy brings together a loose collection of talented Hawke’s Bay musicians for a set drawing on soul, reggae, jazz, funk and psychedelic rock. His bass playing and love of a good groove sit alongside the spontaneity of a proper jam.

🎶 7pm | bEITles
Three EIT music students bringing their love of The Beatles, Green Day and Weezer to the stage, alongside other 90s and 2000s pop-punk and alternative rock favourites. They’ll also be playing some of their own original songs.

🎤 8pm | Ollie Burns
Ollie Burns doesn’t just play a set, he puts on a show. Expect plenty of crowd interaction and a performance that can move from high-energy moments to something a little more unexpected.

🕺 9pm | Dirty Secrets
This five-piece Napier covers band rounds out the night with big vocals and upbeat favourites from the 80s through to today. If you know the words, you’ll probably be singing along.

Hastings Street has a full night lined up, with fire and illusion, soulful originals, folk from around the world, big-band funk and a stack of party favourites. Cheers Benson Property Ltd for helping to make it all happen team 🙏

🔥 5.30pm | Master Tony – Magic & Fire
Magic meets fire as Circus In A Flash brings Master Tony to the stage. Watch flames appear, disappear and reappear alongside illusion and fire artistry. A pretty good way to start the night.

🎤 6pm | Mon Shelford Music
Mon Shelford brings a gutsy, soulful sound backed by a tight live band. Her original songs are driven by big vocals, strong storytelling and plenty of groove.

🎻 6.45pm | Ish
Five musicians bringing traditional and contemporary folk from around the world, with flute, fiddle, 1970s prog, Bulgarian tunes, Swedish and Irish folk, tango and a few originals thrown in.

🕺 7.45pm | Funk n Soul Family
Funk, soul and R&B played live and loud. With powerhouse horns, tight rhythms and electrifying vocals, this 14-piece band knows how to fill a stage.

🎶 9pm | Hush Hush
Time to turn things up. This eight-piece band brings horns, multiple vocalists and their take on the songs you know, with a set built for singing, dancing and keeping the night going.
