I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing this incredible young girl for the last three years, right here in the Pakowhai Blossoms 🌸
Over that time, I’ve got to know her and her beautiful mum, watched her grow, and had the joy of capturing more and more of the personality that makes her so special ✨️
We start the session and she’s straight up the trees, running between them, laughing her head off and bringing so much energy to the whole session.
I love letting her be completely herself and capturing all that fun and freedom which is just so.. her!... while also still finding a moment for those quieter, more arty shots too.
One of my favourite things about photographing the same children year after year is being able to recreate little moments from previous sessions and see just how much they’ve changed.
But it’s also about finding new things that reflect who they are right now. Thats the good stuff.
Their personality, their what they love doing in this phase of life - those are honestly the things that make exactly this stage of life so special.
Because we know it will all change again next year... 😅
This was our fifth session together, and our third in the blossoms.
Five sessions of getting to know this beautiful family, watching this young lady grow, and the privilege of documenting little pieces of her childhood along the way. ❤️
It really is such a pleasure to be invited back year after year to capture these memories.
And I never take that trust for granted.
These are the years that go by so quickly, and I feel so lucky to help preserve a little piece of them. 🌸
