Open Call 2025…

Sorry for the delay, and incredibly late update. But better late than never. Life has definitely taken over for me this year. I was hoping to be elbow deep the organisation for this year’s competition. But instead I have to tell you all, that due to personal reasons I have made the difficult decision to not go ahead with it this year. Mentally I need more power than I have right now.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me over the past couple years, even when it was just a little show. You have all been amazing.

Make sure you go to a show or 10 this year! Support the arts and the hardworking producers and those in the artistic community. I will continue to share shows and events happening around the country. (Feel free to send me yours so I can share in my stories).

I will be back in 2026 sharing more of what I love, and holding space for all types of performers. Until then… buy tickets to shows, keep sharing the love, and be kind!

See you again soon 💛✨

👑🫶 THANK YOU 🫶👑
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to those who helped make Open Call happen this year!

From the crew who helped me before and on the day, to the judges Peggy and Courtney, Mama Jean for not only doing the door but tallying the points too! Robbie Cancian for talking photos and videos of all the performances, and Cool Candies NZ for the yum freeze dried candies in the goodie bags, Satin and Billie for assisting with the contestants and also performing themselves. Kunty Couture for the beautiful earrings that were in our contestant goodie bags! Thank you to Paisley Stage for the opportunity to perform at your awesome venue 🤘

Special thanks to Cherry Boomb for emceeing and also being a sounding board for anything that was on my mind. Another special thank you to Katie for your feedback and support for the competition this year, and for helping me improve on the first year. As well as judging and performing, Katie offered all the contestants feedback sessions before the event.
Lastly thank you to the contestants who put themselves forward to share their talents with us! Absolutely blown away at what you all brought to the stage 🙏🙌

Happy Holidays everyone!
