❤️🤍💙 Georgia Henderson has just returned from a week in Australia where she represented the New Zealand Youth Rodeo Team in the Tri Nations Challenge which was held in Townsville against teams from Australia and the USA.

Georgia competed in the breakaway roping event where a calf is released and Georgia from her horse has to throw a rope around the calf’s neck in as short a time as possible. Georgia can do this in under 4 seconds!!!

She also competes in team roping where her partner throws a rope around a calf’s neck and Georgia’s role is a heeler which means she has to throw her rope around the back legs of the calf to tie it. She can do this in under 10 seconds!!!

Georgia has developed these skills over four years on the summer rodeo circuit where she competes at events all around the South Island and this led to her selection in the New Zealand youth team.

We couldn’t do it without you!

Friday night team NZ placed 1st in the Barrel Race with Felicity Montgomery running a 18.042, and Georgia Henderson 3rd in the Breakaway roping with a 5.2, no luck for our team ropers and our Rough stock boys were beaten by the amazing bulls. Team NZ gained 60 points for the Tally.

Saturday brings the last challenge- we may be behind but we sure are ready to go.
