John the Baptist was a cousin of Jesus. He was sent by God to prepare the way for His son. When John first saw Jesus this is what he said. He knew who He was and he knew what He had come to do.

Our Way vs. His Way.
“Our way" usually means relying on self-effort, doing more good deeds, or trying to earn God's favor. "His way" points to the fact that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice (the unblemished lamb) who alone takes away sin, completely removing the burden of having to be perfect on your own.
John knew things were changing and he began to direct people away from his own ministry and pointed them to Jesus, walking in "His way" means pointing your life outward toward Christ and accepting the forgiveness that He offers. Just like the symbol of Baptism, we are washed clean by His blood.

I keep forgetting to put these up sorry,
This week we were looking at a bit of a teaser for God’s most excellent way. He wants us to chase our talents and use them for the body of Christ but without Love it is all meaningless. Next week we will look into what His love looks like. Have a lovely long weekend and please remember NO CLASSES ON MONDAY!

I hope all our mums felt especially blessed yesterday.

This week we continue to think about His Way and I think this verse encompasses the best way to find it. We are a race that likes to be in control and can sometimes struggle when we loose control. Being a Christian means handing over control of your life to the Lord and fully trusting Him with it. This is so counter cultural but I believe is the path to true freedom.
