Our next exhibition goes up at the end of this week. Jeannette's exhibition goes until the 17th September 2026.
Jeannette Orr is a Wairarapa-based mixed-media artist whose work combines watercolour, coloured pencil, alcohol inks, fabric, acrylics, and hand stitching. Inspired by the rural landscape and productive gardens surrounding The Grey Studio Design in Carterton, she
creates richly layered works that explore texture, memory, place, and transition.
Themes of change and adaptation were first explored in her debut exhibition, Adjustment , and continue to evolve in Adjustment II. Her latest exhibition presents works from both the
Adjustment II and Sutured Strata series. While Adjustment II explores the many transitions life presents, Sutured Strata reflects on mending, resilience, and the traces left behind by experience.
