Anyone out there sick of the status quo and would be interested in putting on a music event? People my age (I'll be showing it here) will remember Red Wedge in the UK. Whilst that was primarily Labour supporting, I'd like to do something that is just maybe anti hate and dirty politics, maybe anti hard right rhetoric, is there anyone out there that would support that kaupapa? I'm happy to put my organising skills to good use if I can find a team to help (and I don't just mean playing) but that will also be on the cards down the line. Another honourable mention to the guy who helped us with our sound at the very first gigs we did at Masterton Showgrounds. Jase has his own one man show that he takes around the area, he's got a really cool set up (as you saw if you made it to the gigs). You can follow his activities at Jason Ireland Live. One of the last bands that played last year was Donal and the Bucks. Their band was fun and a great load of people to hang with. I love being able to pay back our musicians and was delighted when I got asked to do a logo for the band. They've got a release out on Spotify called Losting Weight - you can check it out there.
