4 WEEKS TODAY. ✨🌸💝💛⭐️🙌🏽🫶🏽🥰💃🏽🫣
Gumboot Friday I AM HOPE

In four weeks, I’ll be nearly 15 hours into running 500km in the Redbands.
Absolutely nuts how quickly it has gone!!!

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has supported me so far.

Every message, share, donation, bit of encouragement and person following along means more than you probably realise.
Together, we are raising awareness for youth mental health, breaking the stigma and helping create a space where young people feel heard, seen and supported. ❤️
I have some awesome interviews coming, so huge shoutout to Amanda at Manda’s Creative Customs for kick starting a mock-up of my run tshirts! I appreciate you my friend. 🌸

I’m currently very sick, so I’ve been resting to avoid going into a 500km run already under the weather.
If it’s above the nose, anything goes.
If it’s in the chest, let it rest. ✨
I have still been going on those daily walks with the whānau, movement is a must for my mental health.

I can’t really afford to be resting this close to my run — but I also most definitely cannot afford to be sick when it’s time to run 500km.
So, for now… I’m listening to my body and resting.
And while I’m resting, I have THREE BIG UPDATES for you all: 💝

1️⃣ A BIG CHANGE — AUCKLAND → MARTON
I’ll now be starting in Auckland and finishing in Marton.
This was a really hard decision to make.
I’ve loved having the same routine every morning before my runs, and there’s something comforting about knowing I can sleep in my own bed the night before everything begins.
BUT…
It makes things much easier for our 8-year-old while he’s at school — and honestly, I do really love the thought of running home to bed…. 😆
Last year, after the mammoth 207km we drove home straight away and I had so much energy.

So, Auckland → Marton. 🌸💗

2️⃣ OUR CAMPERVAN SITUATION
Our campervan situation has drastically changed.
Due to circumstances that no one could prevent, we are unfortunately back on the hunt for another campervan to help support the run.
Ideally, we are looking for something for 7–9 days, with:
• A working kitchen
• A shower
• A toilet
• Somewhere we can comfortably base ourselves while I’m out running

3️⃣ THE ROUTE 🗺️
My route map is currently being finalised with NZTA.
Once everything has been ticked off and approved, I’ll be sharing the full route with you all — including my planned rest points.
I know so many of you are waiting to see where I’ll be running, where you can find me and how you can get involved along the way.
I will also be sharing closer to my finish date so the Marton Whānau know x

Four weeks until I’m nearly 15 hours into a 144+ 500km journey.

The training has been huge. 2 pairs of redbands, over 6 nonths, over 700km worth of training & the countless hours.

The challenge is huge.

But the reason behind it is even bigger.
