💔 A Farewell to The Mapua Collective 💔
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that The Mapua Collective at Mapua Wharf will be closing its doors.
This is not a decision that has been made lightly. We have poured our hearts, energy, and passion into creating a space that celebrated local artisans, makers, and small businesses, and we are incredibly saddened that this chapter is coming to an end.
Sadly, this is a sign of the times we live in. Like many small businesses throughout New Zealand, we have faced rising costs, reduced consumer spending, and increasing financial pressures that have made it impossible to continue.
The Collective has been so much more than a shop. It has been a place of creativity, connection, friendship, and community. We have been privileged to showcase the work of talented local makers and watch customers connect with the people behind the products they love.
To our wonderful traders, thank you. Your talent, passion, and support of one another have been inspiring. While many of you may be wondering what comes next, we have no doubt that your creativity and skills will lead you to new opportunities.
To our loyal customers, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every purchase, visit, kind word, and recommendation helped support not only our Collective but the many small businesses within it.
We encourage everyone to continue following and supporting our traders as they begin their next chapters. Supporting local has never been more important.
We are immensely proud of what The Mapua Collective achieved and deeply grateful to everyone who was part of the journey. What started as a collection of businesses became a community, and that is what makes this goodbye so hard.
Thank you for being part of our story.
With love and gratitude,
The Mapua Collective 🦋
