Part 2 – Matariki Celebration

A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing Kaiako for your dedication in preparing our tamariki each day by integrating te reo Māori into your everyday practice. Your commitment and passion were beautifully showcased in the children’s presentation.
The tamariki confidently performed the action song “Kina, Kina,” demonstrating their growing confidence, enjoyment, and connection with te reo Māori and tikanga Māori.
Ngā mihi nui to everyone for making the Matariki celebration such a meaningful and memorable experience.

Kia Ora Whānau,

Our Little Feet learners enjoyed a fun music and movement session using the song “Move to the Right, Move to the Left, Now Stop!”
As the children listened to the song, they followed the instructions by moving to the right, moving to the left, and stopping when prompted. This exciting activity helped them develop their understanding of directional concepts while strengthening their listening skills, concentration, coordination, and body awareness.
The children had lots of fun dancing, moving, and learning together. Through music and movement, they built confidence in following instructions and developed important early learning skills in a joyful and engaging way.
What a fantastic day of learning through play!

Kia Ora Whānau,
Today we had a wonderful combined celebration, highlighting the importance of music in our lives with our Little Feet Papatoetoe Centre.
Our tamariki wholeheartedly danced to the beat of the music in their adorable pyjamas, filling the day with smiles, laughter, and joy. A big thank you to all our parents for dressing your children in their cosy pyjamas and helping make the day so special.
The children also explored a variety of musical instruments, learning about their different sounds and having lots of fun playing them. Through music, movement, and play, they developed their creativity, confidence, and social skills while creating wonderful memories together.
Thank you Whanau for your continued support. We had an amazing day!
