Unfortunately, one of our guests artists booked for September has come down with a bad case of winter germs and will be unable to appear at our September Magical Monday.

Is there anyone / a group who could plug the gap at short notice?

Can't say we're enjoying this time of year. Freezing cold nights, flu germs lurking around every corner ... Well actually, apart from those 2 things it's not so bad - and a wonderful reason to stay home and practise your ukulele.

Our next MM will be on September 14th starting at 7pm at The Club in Mangawhai. We'll be working our way through Sets 12, 17 and 33. Set 33 was the brand new one that went so well a couple of weeks back. Set 12 hasn't be done since June last year and Set 17, not since August last year. We're sure you'll cope admirably.

Our guest artists will be Alix St Clair who performed so beautifully for us in April and Sheryl Smail, the gentler, more melodious half of the Fabulous Smails. Guaranteed to be wonderfully entertaining.

So, until September 14th stay warm, stay away from germs and do lots of practice.

It seems there's a dreaded lurgi travelling about Bream Bay and afflicting the local uke players. However, this did not deter these hardy souls in their blue uniforms. Despite their reduced numbers, The Ukulerians turned on another great performance. Thanks for making the effort folks, we appreciate it.

Everyone at Magical Mondays knows and appreciates Dave's musical skills but last night we heard a new talent, Marg, who, despite having a wonderful voice, is not used to singing in public.
We're glad she overcame her butterflies and gave us this wonderful performance. We loved it.

As we have come to expect, last night's Magical Monday was another triumph. We ate, we sang, we drank, we played and we beat the technology into submission. All in all, a great deal of fun on a cool winter's night.

The new set was very well received and performed almost flawlessly. Anyone not knowing better would think we'd done some practice.

The guest artists were well practised and their performances were exceptional. Such wonderful talent on display as you will see when we release the videos in the next day or so.

Looking forward to seeing 100 talented uke players at tonight's Magical Monday at The Club starting at 7pm. Every style of music catered for - Rock & Roll, middle of the road and a bit of nostalgia. Make sure you're there early to get a good table.

Our sets tonight are 3, 23 and 33. It's not too late to practise.

Guest artists are the Warkworth duo, Dave and Marg and another outing for The Ukulerians from Bream Bay.

It's going to be a great night but it will be even better if you're there.

It seems August sneaked up on us before we realised it. Time sure flies when you're having fun. Speaking of fun, we've got a Magical Monday coming up in less than a week and, despite the cold outside, we'll have the warmest atmosphere you'll find anywhere.
Monday 10th. Write it in your diary.

We're going to be doing sets 3, 23 and 33, the last of which is a brand new one so you'll need to do some practice. If you haven't already (shame on you) you can find it on our website : https://magicalmondays.weebly.com/songs-to-download.html

The TV screens were working last month and with a bit of luck we'll be able to get them working again this month. However, just to be on the safe side, it might pay you to bring along your own copy.

Our guest artists this month are Dave & Marg from Warkworth (a new combination of talent which we're longing to hear) and the Ukulerians from Bream Bay. Last time the Ukulerians played for us they were exceptional so we're pretty sure they'll put on another good show.

We start playing at 7pm but it's pretty important to get there early so you can get a good seat. The cafe puts on a great meal and a nice refreshing beverage before launching into song will help to loosen up the tonsils. PLUS you get to meet some of the finest people you'll ever meet anywhere.

So until Monday, make sure you take care, do some practice and stay warm.

We're happy to announce that the Ukulerians from Bream Bay have volunteered to fill our second guest spot for the August Magical Monday. Last time they performed for us they were really brilliant so we're expecting great things from them again this time. No pressure.

If you were just about to volunteer to do a guest spot and got pipped at the post, don't despair. We have another vacancy available in September. Maybe you'd be happy to wait until then?

In the meantime, keep practising Sets 3, 23 and 33. We want to make August 10th a night to remember.

Our next Magical Monday is on August 10th and we'll be doing sets 3, 23 and 33. Start practising now so you can shine on the night.

At present, we have only one guest group, Dave and Marg from Warkworth. We haven't seen them in action before so we're really looking forward to their performance. Our other group had to withdraw due to family commitments so there's a vacancy.

If you feel you're ready for stardom, let us know and we'll happily give you a chance to shine. It does take a bit of courage to get up and sing in front of 80 - 90 people but our audience is very welcoming and very appreciative of your efforts.

Until August 10, keep humming, keep strumming and keep smiling.
