As the 2026 Lyttelton Arts Fest cools down it’s time we do a wee shout out to the amazing team behind the curtain. Dayle Hunt and Fleur de Thier the dynamic duo, our gracious leaders/dreamers and doers, not only getting the funding, assembling the team, programming and producing but also running the bar and keeping us all in mulled wine and sticky date puds all fest! Building, lighting, mixing and amplifying every artistic moment the legend that is Arran Eley (and crew Pascal, Mike and Simeon ❤️ packing in and out 17 shows in 14 days is insane! Telling the stories, spreading the word, wrangling our artists requests, producing the shows, getting over 2000 people through those doors was our gal Tessa Waters. AND not pictured here…Jesse de Thier-Hunt who created all of the beautiful festival imagery, Dave Ladderman who curated our Theatre program, Rob at the bar night after night and allllll of our incredible volunteers our supportive wonderful Board, Mike and hopefully we haven’t forgotten anyone…truly this could not have happened without every one of us…and this is only the start.

That’s a wrap on two amazing weeks of theatre, comedy, dance, music, movies, storytelling and the rest. What a perfect show and wonderful crowd to finish on, not a dry eye in the house. Time for a nap for our incredible team but stay tuned as this is only the beginning. Thank you all from the bottom of our very full hearts!
