Let's run through everything we think will help you get the most out of your Art Trail experience!
📖 A TRAIL GUIDE and STAMP CARD.
If you visit 7 or more artists and get your card stamped at each one, you could be in with a chance to win art classes, art supplies or a delicious hamper! Most artists will have both Trail Guides and Stamp Cards at their stops, but if you're not planning on visiting us first thing, your best bets for picking either up will be The Hutt Art Centre, The Dowse or Goody Goodness.
🌂 WET WEATHER GEAR.
It's spring in Wellington; you know the drill. If you don't, kia ora and welcome to Pōneke, you're going to need to pack for every season whenever you leave the house.
💰 CASH or BANKING APP.
Bring a backup to your card. A lot of artists will be happy to accept cards, but some won't have that capacity so bring an alternative or two.
🍪 SNACKS and HYDRATION.
Or plan to drop into your favourite cafe. It can be a pretty full-on day out, so don't forget to take care of yourself! Some artists may offer refreshments, but not all.
🧐 CURIOSITY.
It's lovely when people are curious and want to engage with the artists over their work. We love a question or five, and will always treasure a compliment if you want to go that far! We also know that some people just want to soak it all in without the chit-chat, so whatever your approach, we get it.
