Okay, drum roll please, 🥁 Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...BAM! 💥

The winners of the 2026 Muriel Hopper People's Choice Awards are:

2d: Leon Ramakers, with his beautifully serene oil painting "Lake Mangawahoe". Coincidentally, this painting was purchased by a lucky lady in the last 30 minutes of the exhibition yesterday who just happened to have lived in Taranaki in the area Leon painted. What a great score.

3d: Rachel Janes, with her very stylish "1960s teenage girl" - yes, we all looked like that once, but then gravity increased significantly over the 80s and 90s.

A warm congratulations to Leon and Rachel.
