Less than a week to go - the Lower Hutt Art Trail is on this weekend, with more than 50 artists across 32 stops from Taita to Eastbourne. The trail runs from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, and it's all free (unless you decide to buy some art, of course!)
Come and see me at stop 21, Goody Goodness in Jackson St. There are quite a few stops in and around Petone, so it's definitely worth heading over our way.
My Christmas decorations will also go on sale from this weekend through to Christmas Eve. They make great presents to send overseas as they are nice and small! You won't find them anywhere else, either, as they are sold exclusively through Goody Goodness. As always, I have added a new design just in time for the Trail weekend. For Xmas 2026 I have created this cute little Christmas Pudding.

The third annual Lower Hutt Art Trail starts 2 weeks today. As per the last couple of years I will be at Goody Goodness in Petone (stop 21).
This year the Art Trail is running a prize draw. Visit 7 stops and get a stamp on your card at each one, then you can enter the draw to win one of the following prizes - an art class at Alfred Memelink's Artspace gallery on the Petone Esplanade, a $100 voucher from Gordon Harris, or a grocery hamper from New World.
The stamp cards have not been printed yet, but we hope to get them out to most of the artists in time for the trail - at the very least they will definitely be available from Hutt Art Society (stop 1 on the trail) and I expect to have some at Goody Goodness too, as well as at the Dowse and Artspace Galleries.

I was going through a box of some of my old (and forgotten) pieces in the studio the other day and I found this. I still really like the necklace, but it had a very flimsy clip-on bail, so I've upgraded it with a new bail and a chain, and it's all ready to go to a new home.

I had an audience while I was working today. He (or possibly she) kept trying to get inside through the closed window.

Another interchangeable option. The stopper beads and screw-on ends allow you to swap out the beads on this delicate piece. I only have one at the moment, but hope to order some more, as it is very pretty and dainty. I plan to make sets of beads to go with it, but you could really use any beads you liked, as long as they have a small enough footprint - longer beads won't slide round the curve.

Soooo cute. Love this little snail interchangeable pendant bail and chain that arrived from a new supplier in Austria. I made the red toadstool to go with it, but it can be screwed on and off, so I might make a couple of other colours to go with it too.
