3 very well behaved siblings joined in — 10, 7 and just 3 years old.
The youngest was happy playing with drum sticks from the side, while the two older ones discovered which instrument actually suited them.
🥁 The 7-year-old boy originally attracted to guitar really clicked with the drums.
🎹 His sister found the keyboard was the one that interested her most.
Their mum, watching, left feeling confident about which instruments to invest in for their music lessons 🎸🥁🎹 Job done😁

Pepi is definitely starting to understand Cachou’s boundaries, and she’s getting better at observing them… although she still pushes beyond what he can handle! She doesn’t seem remotely bothered by his swipes either. If she keeps toning it down, I’m quietly confident they’ll eventually reach the point where “chase” becomes a game rather than “run for his life”! 😄🐾

BandScool with two little six-year-olds! 🎸
Six is pretty young for guitar, little hands and little arms make it a tricky instrument to start with — so we didn’t worry too much about that! 😄
What really sparked them up was singing. And once I started looping their voices, there were lots of laughs! 😂 They loved hearing themselves come back through the looper.

One of them also surprised me with some really nice jamming on the keyboard. And there was some real learning happening too. I noticed that as they listened to their own voices in the loop, they were starting to sing more confidently and accurately. One of them especially got noticeably better each time we tried it.

That’s what I love about BandScool, even when an instrument feels too big or difficult, there’s always another way into making music. 🤗

🎸 Mother & daughter at BandScool! 🎶

A 12-year-old and her mum came along for a session, and it was lovely seeing them discover the instruments together.

Mum took to the bass really nicely — she had a good ear and was listening carefully. Her daughter was perhaps a little more enthusiastic than accurate but she was having a great time, which is what counts!

Mum told me that the session had really brightened her day and that it was so lovely to do something like this together with her daughter. 💛

That’s one of the things I love about BandScool — you never know what a little bit of music-making together might bring. 🎶

🌟 A lovely little moment from my Harmony Workshop! 🎶
I had a beautiful 10-year-old girl join me with her mum, and I was really impressed by her natural sense of timing and, especially, her ability to listen. She picked things up so well and was really tuned in to what was happening around her👂🎵
Then, in the afternoon, got to see them again at the Roller Disco! 🛼💃 So I had the pleasure of spending time with them twice in the same week.
It’s one of the things I love about what I do — meeting people through music, then seeing them again in a completely different setting ❤️
